Kalpana Raghavendars Daughter Speaks About Mothers Alleged Suicide Attempt

Tamil-Telugu singer Kalpana Raghavendar’s daughter has reacted to speculations about her mother’s alleged suicide attempt. After online speculations about the singer have surfaced, Kalpana’s daughter deemed it fit to clarify certain statements. According to a report by 123Telugu, the daughter has opened up on the real issue.

Kalpana reportedly lost consciousness due to an overdose of sleeping pills at her home. This happened as her mother is currently LLB and PhD. This reportedly makes her insomniac, which led to the mistaken overdose. She reportedly said, “This is not a suicide attempt. It was just a slight overdose of prescribed medication due to general life stress. Our family is perfectly fine. My mom will be back in a few days. That’s all I have to say. This was not a suicide attempt, just a slight overdose of insomnia medication prescribed by a doctor.”

She also explained that the singer is out of danger and doing much better. However, according to NDTV, a police statement issued noted that the singer had a disagreement with her daughter. The latter reportedly refused to move to Hyderabad for her studies despite her mother’s request.

Kalpana allegedly couldn’t sleep as she had to travel from Hyderabad from Ernakulam on March 4. She initially took eight sleeping pills and later consumed an additional 10, which made her unconscious.

Many reports in the morning that stated that Kalpana was rescued from her home after police found her unconscious. However, the cops were waiting for her to regain consciousness after her treatment, to properly begin investigation. The singer’s husband also couldn’t reach her by call. He was in Chennai when the incident happened.
