Elijah Wood, best known for his role as Frodo in The Lord of the Rings film series, is married. The actor reportedly tied the knot with longtime girlfriend, producer Mette-Marie Kongsved.
As per a TMZ report, Elijah Wood and Mette-Marie Kongsved got a marriage license filed in Los Angeles County. The report also claims that the two held an intimate wedding ceremony in Sweden on New Year’s Eve in the presence of close friends and family.
Speculations around Elijah and Mette-Marie’s marriage did the rounds when the actor referred to his partner as his “wife” in an episode of the Inside of You podcast.
Wood shared, “I’m beyond grateful for my family and my kids and my wife. Like, they are such an extension of me. They are the most important people in my life.”
The couple went public with their relationship back in 2018. They have two kids, a son and a daughter together.
