Sanjay Leela Bhansali is currently directing his upcoming movie Love & War. While many details of the movie are not out yet, it will star Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in leading roles. Now, Mid-Day has reported that the first look of the film will be out soon, as soon as January 2026.
As per the report, the makers were always keen on releasing an asset in January to tease the audience about the visuals of the film. While it hasn’t been decided whether the asset would be a poster or a set of images, it is reportedly being meticulously created. “The audience has already seen the actors’ avatars through leaked pictures. But now, the director wants people to see his vision of Love & War,” the report further adds.
The report also states, “A few days ago, Alia shot for a wedding sequence with Ranbir in Mumbai. Now, she has only the climax left to shoot with the leads, after which it will be a wrap for her. The male leads, however, will continue to shoot for another six weeks.”
The release date was first fixated in March 2026 but many reports stated that it has been postponed. The makers haven’t released any official statements on it yet. The only update from the actors about the movie include a photo shared by Alia Bhatt, to celebrate the success of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s birthday. Alia had shared a heartwarming click with Vicky, Sanjay and Ranbir, captioning it as, “a quick break from night shoots to celebrate our director… happy birthday magician sir (and happy 3 to our Gangu too) & lastly many many cheers and claps for @vickykaushal09 absolutely smashing the box office with chhaava!!!”
At an interactive event, Alia and Ranbir had also discussed how they work during night shoots, while adhering to their parenting duties.
