
Rex Heuermann has pleaded guilty in the Gilgo Beach killings. It was in July 2023, when Rex Heuermann, an architect from Long Island, New York, was arrested with charges of committing seven murders. He initially did not plead guilty and was held at the Riverhead Correctional Facility in Suffolk County. However, it was in April 2026 that he changed his plea to guilty of seven counts of murder.

The hearing for Rex Heuermann has been set for June 2026, and Rex is expected to receive a lifetime imprisonment without parole, three consecutive life sentences, and four sentences of 25 years to life.
