Megastar Chiranjeevi is healed and ready after recently going through a minor back surgery that fixed discomfort in his lower back. The Telugu cinema icon, known for the blockbuster Waltair Veerayya from two Sankranthis ago, pushed through pain to wrap up his shooting commitments first (both Mana Shankara VaraPrasad Garu and Vishwambhara demanded extended periods of participation in shoots over two years).
Chiru underwent surgery
Media reports state that Chiru went under the knife only after completing all his work commitments, especially since MSG is scheduled for a grand Sankranthi 2026 release. He has now recovered well. This isn’t the first time Chiru has shown grit in the face of bad health. Earlier reports mention he underwent knee surgery too, yet it never slowed his pace. His dedication shines through in his career. He danced alongside Sridevi in Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari despite a scorching 106-degree fever. He powered through the grueling shoot, got admitted to the hospital right after, and recovered after weeks of treatment. Fans and his industry colleagues still talk about that energy.
Ram Charan gung-ho
Meanwhile, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is gearing up for a theatrical release on January 12. Chiranjeevi’s son and actor Ram Charan is gung-ho about it, writing that his father will “deliver the ultimate entertainment for this Sankranthi”. The RRR actor further added that he can’t wait to watch Chiru and Victory Venkatesh together on screen. Charan’s sister, Sushmitha Konidela, is one of the producers of the movie, directed by Anil Ravipudi.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh and Chiranjeevi will grace the grand pre-release event. Both the stars will enthrall fans who have been raving about their on-screen chemistry in the special song. The director exuded confidence that the song will be a visual delight for the fans watching two superstars in action for the first time.
