Recently, in a candid chat with The Lallantop, Mika revealed how their friendship blossomed over the years, starting with their first interaction in the 1990s. They first started on a professional note as Mika worked on Salman’s films, including his iconic track from Kick, Jumme Ki Raat. Recalling the incident, Mika hilariously added how he is now a part of Salman’s midnight call lists. Mika shared:
“He came to one of my shoots…We interacted, but I didn’t think to butter him up and ask for his phone number…I had already done the song, ‘Jumme Ki Raat’ for him, but I thought that my voice was terrible in it. Salman bhai loved it…In my excitement, I tweeted about it. Now, Salman bhai usually likes talking on the phone at 2 am, and he gets very upset if you don’t answer his calls.”
