Priyanka Chopra Jonas recalls how she got on board for The Bluff while filming Joe Russo’s Citadel Season 2. She opened up on admiring the script, as she read it in one sitting, front to back. By the time it was done, Priyanka already knew she had to be part of it. Ahead of the film’s exclusive global premiere on Prime Video on February 25, Priyanka revealed this film would be special for her filmography.
Recalling how she came on board, Priyanka shared, “I was filming season two of Citadel with Joe Russo, and I’ve had an incredible relationship with Agbo through Citadel. And one day, Joe sent me this script in my inbox, and I couldn’t stop reading it once I started. I finished it in one go, and it moved me on so many levels. I was really excited about participating and grateful to get the part. When I met Frank E. Flowers (director), I knew that this would be something special for me as an actor in my filmography.”
She added, “To be able to go into the 1800s and play the part of a woman with so many layers was a privilege. And coming on board as a producer and a true collaborating partner was amazing. Agbo and PrimeVideo always made me feel like a collaborator and so did Frank E Flowers. I had the best time filming this movie.”
The movie is directed by Frank E. Flowers and written by Joe Ballarini & Frank E. Flowers. The Bluff is produced by Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco, Cisely Saldaña, Mariel Saldaña and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
