Now, in a recent interview with Telly Times, Rajan Shahi has addressed removing lead actors from his show, stating justifications that did not gel well with social media users. They feel that it is a clear-cut PR strategy game, as he has addressed the issue.

Rajan Shahi did not directly take the name of any actor, but confessed of removing lead actors. He even said that he even had removed the 4th lead star from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He claimed that their disrespectful behaviour towards the hairdresser, spot dada, makeup man and associate director was unacceptable. He even confessed of removing an actor recently from his show, Anupamaa. Now, social media users slammed the producer and called it a PR gimmick. One user wrote:
“Just a PR stunt to improve his image. Salute to his PR team. They think audience is very innocent to buy that. Maybe the audience is, thats why continuing his serials. Otherwise people would have boycotted them.”
