The ongoing IPL 2026 faced a big controversy after Rajasthan Royals manager, Rumi Bhinder, was caught using a mobile phone in the team dugout during a recent match. For the unversed, during the Rajasthan Royals’ match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Guwahati on April 10, 2026. After which, an investigation by the Anti-Corruption and Security Unit of the BCCI sent a notice of the investigation.
Why was Rumi Bhinder using a phone during team dugout
Rumi’s act became a major breach of the BCCI code as no player or supporting staff are allowed to use their phone in the dugout. The matter is being investigated with utmost seriousness. Amidst the speculations, a source close to the Rajasthan Royals revealed the reason why Rumi Bhinder was using his phone.
