The actor, best known for his role in the TV show, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, dropped an astonishing 55 kilograms in a mere 18 months. Recently, the actor reflected on being overweight and at his heaviest at 140 kg. According to Ram, his weight may have made him suitable for a few roles he did, but it caused him several struggles in other aspects of life.
Ram Kapoor says he was fortunate to be loved by audiences despite being overweight
Ram Kapoor recently sat for a candid interaction with ETimes, during which he reflected on being overweight. The actor confessed that he considered himself fortunate to have received audiences’ love despite being overweight. Ram also stated that his heaviest weight of 140 kg was suitable for the roles he played in Neeyat and Jubilee. However, he admitted that he knew he was unhealthy even then. Ram revealed:
“Walking just 20 steps left me breathless, and I struggled with diabetes, a foot injury, and basic movement. Turning 50 was a wake-up call.”
