Sonu Sood addressed the raid that happened in September 2021 and responded to the interviewer that the income tax officials were simply doing their duty. He added that he had expected that there would be some obstacles in his path. He recalled that there were no locks in his house and that anyone could come inside.
“None of the cupboards in my house have any locks on them. Even my house does not have any locks. In my house, when we wake up in the morning, we open the gate so anyone can come in. This has been the case for many years now. I am comfortable saying this on camera, it’s completely okay. When they came over, they saw everything. They were doing their duty and I was doing mine. Even at that time, there were thousands of people who were queued up outside my house.”
