Lately, a court in Punjab’s Ludhiana area issued an arrest warrant against Bollywood actor, Sonu Sood in relation to an alleged fraud case of Rs. 10 lakh. The warrant reportedly was issued by the Ludhiana judicial magistrate, Ramanpreet Kaur. It was filed by a lawyer named Rajesh Khanna against Mohit Shukla in which he alleged that he was lured to invest in fake Rijika coin. The actor was summoned to the court as his name cropped up during the investigation, but he failed to appear in court to testify. An arrest warrant was released against the actor, who now has broken his silence.
Sonu Sood opens up on non-bailable warrant against him
The warrant that Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur released directed the Oshiwara Police Station, Mumbai, to arrest the actor. Sonu, on February 7, 2025, took to X (formerly Twitter) and refuted the allegations. He said that the news circulating on social media is highly exaggerated. His tweet read:
“To be clear, we were summoned as a witness by the Honourable Court in a case related to a third party with whom we have no association or affiliation. Our lawyers have already responded, and on February 10, 2025, we will provide a statement proving our non-involvement.”
