Badshah, the popular Indian rapper, has often faced criticism for his music as there are many who believe that he has no knowledge of singing. However, a recent incident on the singing reality show Indian Idol Season 15 has brought his judging skills also into the spotlight.
During an episode of the show, Badshah praised a contestant named Vishwaroop for his performance; in fact, he went on to describe it as a “concert-level” one and complimented him as an “amazing singer”. However, his fellow judge Vishal Dadlani seemed to disagree with Badshah’s assessment.
When Vishal was asked to give his opinion, initially he said that it would be better if he remained silent but when Badshah requested him to speak, he expressed his dissatisfaction with the performance, stating that it was so horrible that he “couldn’t wait for it to end”. Vishal Dadlani further said that the lower notes were not executed well, despite the contestant’s strong performance in the high notes with the chorus.
Vishal Dadlani also acknowledged that his criticism might have hurt the contestant’s feelings but he warned the contestant about the possibility of elimination if he continued singing in a similar manner.
A social media user shared the video of the incident, commenting that Vishal Dadlani was “schooling Badshah on how to judge a reality show” and hinting that Badshah lacks knowledge about singing.

Soon X users also started reacting on it, while there were some who agreed that Badshah knows nothing about singing, few others were of the opinion that even Vishal Dadlani doesn’t have much idea of music or singing and there were also several others who called the entire show fake.
