The famous Blue Earth and Planet Earth photographer Doug Allan passed away in Nepal. At the age of 74, Doug was trekking when he died. It is worth mentioning that he was also famously known for working with the Daredevil Scots. He was a famous Scottish wildlife cameraman, who simply loved photography and was known for working in extreme conditions of the Arctic and Antarctic.

Who was Doug Allan?

Doug Allan was a famous Scottish wildlife cameraman and marine biologist. He was born in 1951. Talking about his education accolades, he studied marine biology and worked as a research driver in Antarctica’s extreme conditions. It was there that he developed a love for photographing wildlife. He went on to make his footing in the photography business. He contributed to major BBC documentaries such as Planet Earth, The Blue Planet and Frozen Planet.
