Kim Soo Hyun has been embroiled in controversy following shocking details shared by the family of the late actress Kim Sae Ron. The actress’s family claimed that the two had been dating for six years, and their relationship began when Sae Ron was still a minor. She was 15 and he was 27. The revelations were shared by the YouTube channel Hoverlab or Garo Sero Institute. A previously unseen photo and including a text message have also been unveiled.
Kim Sae Ron texted Kim Soo Hyun asking for help
The text message, sent by Kim Sae-ron on March 19, 2024, revealed that Kim Sae Ron tried reaching out to Kim Soo Hyun after his agency, Gold Medalist, sent her a notice. She reportedly wrote, “Oppa, it’s Sae-ron. I received the content-certified letter. You’re suing me… I’ve been preparing for my return to acting, and I plan to repay you gradually from each project. Please give me time. I’m begging you, help me.” Sae Ron tried to reach Kim Soo-hyun several times but he allegedly never responded.

Last year, Kim Sae Ron shared an intimate photo with Jim Soo Hyun. The photo which was later deleted, saw the two posing with their cheeks touching. Back then, Gold Medalist denied the dating rumours. Hoverlab also revealed a second photo, allegedly taken in 2016, showing Kim Soo Hyun kissing Kim Sae Ron on the cheek. The family claims that the actress was only 15 at the time.
The actress’s family further shared a letter written by Kim Sae Ron on March 24, 2023, about the alleged relationship and issues with Gold Medalist. Sae Ron claimed that she was subjected to financial exploitation and threats from the agency and revealed that the relationship lasted from November 2015 to July 2021.
Kim Sae Ron’s mother shared that she wants to clear her daughter’s name and restore her reputation, urging people to remember her as a respected actress rather than a tabloid figure.
