Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Urge Media Not To Click Raha Photos

Actress Alia Bhatt celebrated her birthday in advance with the media in Mumbai on Thursday. Ranbir Kapoor was also present as the couple held a Q&A session with the media. They requested the media not to post any unauthorized images of their daughter Raha, emphasizing the importance of her privacy.

Alia made it clear that, for now, the couple is not planning to take legal action. However, if their request is not respected, they will have no choice but to pursue the legal route. She said, “We don’t want to push any sort of action, but we’ll be left with no choice if people don’t listen. Wait for Raha to cross or cover her face while clicking pictures.”

Ranbir reminded everyone that he “grew up in Mumbai, in the industry,” and that everyone present was “family.” He acknowledged that it might seem like a “privileged problem,” but as parents, they are doing everything possible to protect their child. “Anybody with a camera phone can post it, it’s not in our control. But we are just asking for help,” he said. He also recalled how Alia was once clicked inside their home, calling it a clear breach of privacy. “We understand there’s curiosity, but there’s a line you cannot cross,” he added.

Alia also stopped Ranbir from saying that Raha could be photographed on special occasions. The couple reminded everyone that the Child Privacy Law and Data Protection Law prohibit the use of a minor’s pictures without parental consent.

Alia Bhatt's Birthday

This decision comes after Alia recently deleted all pictures of Raha from her social media. In January, actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked multiple times in his home after confronting an intruder in his younger son Jeh’s room. Following the incident, Saif and Kareena Kapoor requested the media not to photograph their children, Taimur and Jeh, for safety reasons. Now, Alia and Ranbir have taken a similar stand, choosing to keep their daughter away from the public eye.
