It’s official! So much has been written about Allu Arjun’s new film for a few months now, the formal announcement was finally made today. On the occasion of the actor’s birthday on April 8 (Tuesday) his next film was announced officially. Producer Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures took to his social media handle and made it official. Director Atlee will helm the megaphone for the action entertainer.
The film’s working title is AA22 – As the project happens to be Allu Arjun’s 22nd project. “Gear up for the Landmark Cinematic Event. #AA22xA6 – A Magnum Opus from Sun Pictures,” captioned the production house.

The announcement video shows a glimpse of Allu Arjun, Altee and Maran having a discussion about their collaboration and then moving to Lola Visual Effects, a company in Los Angeles. Soon the actor and director enter the dynamic and innovative design and fabrication studio Spectral Motion studio which specializes in cinematic creature effects, prosthetic makeup, state-of-the-art animatronics. Later they meet with the staff of ILM Technoprops, a virtual production tools manufacturer serving film creators, game designers, and VR developers. The video also shows flashes of the duo meeting Jose Fernandez – the CEO and art director (of Ironhead Studio) who worked on top Hollywood films. This is followed by testimonials from the Vfx and design artists.
James Madigan, one of the Vfx supervisors said, “I was just done reading the script and I got to say, my head is still spinning.” The video shows various character designs made by the studios as both the actor and director check on the designs.
Allu Arjun asks, “You read the script, what do you think about it? Mike Elizalde, President, Spectral Motion, replies, The script is seriously unlike anything I’ve ever heard. It’s the best of the best of what I would ever want to create.” Justin Raleigh, CEO and Artistic Director Fractured FX stated that reading through the script, he was very excited about all the creatures and all the different character potential. William Wright Anderson, Co-owner LOLA Vfx said that he cannot wait to be part of the script, and it’s just amazing and the story is unbelievable. On a final note, the video takes us through the various experiences of Allu Arjun and Atlee during their studio tour. It’s massive and immersive!
