Parth Samthaan had initially rejected the role of ‘ACP Pradhyuman’
Parth Samthaan is set to return to the television industry after five long years. However, stepping into the shoes of someone who aced the role can prove to be difficult. Shivaji Satam created a loyal fanbase during his stint in CID. Nonetheless, Parth didn’t refuse the part because of the iconic portrayal, but he rejected it because he was hesitant about them addressing him as ‘Sir’. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Parth shared his reason for not wanting to do the role. He was quoted as saying:
“Initially, I rejected the role of ACP Pradyuman because I don’t relate to it. But the makers asked me to reconsider. I was also hesitant due to the show’s long-standing cast and the fact that they’d have to address me as ‘sir’ on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward.”
