Shalini Passi shared her mother was strict during her childhood
Shalini grew up in a very restrictive environment where her mom had certain norms fixed. During an interview with the Hauterrfly, Shalini explained how her mom used to tell her that if she found out that any guy used to call her, then she would be immediately sent to a boarding school. The threat was clear enough to keep most boys at bay, but Shalini found a clever loophole. In her words:
“So I told everybody, if you want me to go to boarding then you call me, However, that didn’t stop her from outshining the boys. She even gave out her phone number with one digit intentionally missing. They would keep asking, baar baar wahi poochte the number. Toh main ek digit miss kar deti thi. At least I know my number… just not the last digit.”
