Mika Singh said Daler Mehndi paved the way for Punjabi singers across the globe
In an interview with The Lallantop, singer Mika Singh called Daler the dada ji whose struggle and hard work have helped present-day singers like, Diljit Dosanjh. Mika, during a candid conversation, shared that Diljit is doing well. However, the reason for his success was Daler Mehndi. He added that the veteran singer has increased the pride of the turban in the industry. Mika was quoted saying:
“Diljit is doing well, definitely. Ask me why? Because pehle dada ji aaye hain. Who is dada ji? Daler Mehndi. Pagdi ki shaan unke baad hi badhi hai in the industry. Before that also there were many Punjabi singers. After Daler paaji entered the industry, he worked with Mr. Bachchan also (Amitabh Bachchan). He opened a path, not only for him, but for, me and all of us. If you ask him, he will agree with me.”
