Renowned as the first superstar of Indian cinema, Khanna’s illustrious career spanned over four decades, during which he captivated audiences with his remarkable performances in numerous Hindi films. His unparalleled charisma and acting prowess earned him a special place in the hearts of millions, leaving an indelible mark on the film industry.
Throughout his career, Rajesh Khanna received several accolades, notably at the Filmfare Awards. He won the Filmfare Award for Best Actor three times: for Sachaa Jhutha (1971), Anand (1972), and Avishkaar (1975). Additionally, he was honoured with a Filmfare Special Award in 1973 for Anuraag and another in 1991, commemorating his 25 years in the Hindi film industry. In 2005, his contributions were further recognized with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award during the 50th Filmfare Awards ceremony.
