Daveigh Chase, the former child actor best known for voicing Lilo in Disney’s Lilo & Stitch and playing the terrifying Samara Morgan in The Ring, has passed away. She was 35.
John Ryan Jr, a representative of the actress, told Yahoo, “Daveigh was the sweetest woman on the planet, and this is a huge loss to all of us. Daveigh was one of my best friends for the last 17 years, and we’ve managed her for over a decade. We were in the middle of a documentary about her during this tragic passing.”
Chase’s boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, told TMZ that she died on Tuesday after battling meningitis and a severe blood infection that led to sepsis. He also revealed that the actress had been hospitalised earlier this month due to malnutrition.
