Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s spy thriller Dhurandhar continues to hold firm at the box office even in its sixth week. The Aditya Dhar directorial has shown exceptional staying power and, according to Sacnilk, has crossed the Rs 810 crore nett mark, reinforcing its position as the highest-earning Bollywood film of all time.
Riding high on the massive success of Dhurandhar, the makers have Dhurandhar 2 already in place and are now fine-tuning the sequel. Our sources confirm that Akshaye Khanna will return to sets for a short one-week shoot, aimed at expanding his character’s backstory and adding more layers to his role in the next chapter of the franchise.
Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on 19 March 2026. With the sequel locked and selective additions underway, the spy universe is clearly gearing up to build on the momentum created by the first film’s record-breaking run.
