At an event today, Rani Mukerji celebrated a special milestone of completing 30 years in cinema. Rani revealed that a defining moment in her career was when Karan insisted, she dub her own part for the role of Tina.

She explained how special the moment was for her since her original voice wasn’t used for dubbing in her movie Ghulam, which starred Aamir Khan opposite her. At that time, it was a common practice to have other artists dub for newcomers if their voices were considered unconventional, but Karan saw the uniqueness in Rani’s husky tone and stood by it.
Rani shared, as she got emotional, “Karan believed in my voice,” recalling how that faith and confidence changed the trajectory of her career.
