There has been a lot of buzz regarding the sequel to No Entry. Earlier, reports suggested that Shahid Kapoor has replaced Diljit Dosanjh to star with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in the film. While our sources clarified that Shahid is not a part of the film, we are also getting to know that Varun has also not been signed for the same.
As per a source close to the development, “The speculations surrounding Varun Dhawan being a part of No Entry 2 hold no truth. Any rumour surrounding his involvement is untrue and baseless. Currently, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.”
Meanwhile, Bollywood Hungama had earlier reported that Varun Dhawan has been locked to play one of the three leads in the sequel, and the makers have also initiated a conversation with Shahid Kapoor. Arjun Kapoor will also reportedly be seen in the film; however, an official announcement regarding the casting is awaited.
The original film, No Entry, which was released in 2005, was a huge success at the box office and the highest-grossing Indian film of the year. The cast included Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Esha Deol, Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley.
Meanwhile, talking about Varun Dhawan, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. The David Dhawan directorial also stars Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur. It will be released theatrically on June 5.
Shahid Kapoor, on the other hand, was last seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s O Romeo. He is now gearing up for the release of Cocktail 2 with Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. It will be out on June 19.
