Shakti Kapoor, born Sunil Kapoor, is an Indian actor who has featured in over 700 films. Known for his antagonist and comic roles, Shakti has teamed up in comic or villainous teams with actors, Asrani and Kader Khan in more than 100 films. Sunil Dutt was the first to cast the actor in a negative role in Sanjay Dutt’s debut film, Rocky. For the unversed, Sunil Dutt was the one to rename the actor’s name from Sunil to Shakti as he felt the name would be more fitting for his stint.
