However, the show’s producer, Ekta Kapoor had to face some backlash after featuring an intimate scene between Ram and Sakshi in the show, which was a rather bold move back then.

For the unversed, Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar, who played the characters ‘Ram’ and ‘Priya’ in the popular TV show, Bade Acche Lagte Hain, had shared an on-screen kiss. This became an iconic moment as it marked the first-ever on-screen kiss in Indian television history. Recently, in a candid interview with Siddharth Kannan, veteran actor Ram Kapoor revisited the scene, and shed light on the challenges of filming the bold scene. He said:
“Mera kaam as an actor is to do my job. I don’t owe an explanation to anybody… Mera kaam hai script ko follow karo… Main kaise bol sakta hu ki ye main nahi kar sakta, tab main actor nahi hu…so I did nothing wrong.”
