Aamir Khan launched the trailer of his son Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s upcoming film Loveyapa. The film, directed by Advait Chandan brings forward a fresh but relatable love story to life. During the event, the superstar was asked about his idea of love, and he also shared his wisdom on relationships with the young audience present there.
He stared off by saying, “I am very romantic, it may sound funny to you, but please ask both my wives. (laughs) So, all my favourite films are romantic. I get lost in romantic movies. I’m a believer of true love. As we grow in life, our understanding of love evolves. You understand others and yourself as well as you grow up.”
Khan, who is now divorced with both his wife’s Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao admitted that he has made some mistakes in the past and continued, “As I’ve grown, I’ve realised where I was wrong and I’ve tried to improve on my mistakes. For me, today, the meaning of love is to find someone who is your soulmate, with whom you are comfortable and you feel that you have reached your destination in life.”
He also advised people not to ignore red flags in a person because more often than not, they don’t end up changing .
To the current generation, Aamir Khan said, “There should be sensitivity in your partner, despite difference in opinion. True love is really when you learn to love yourself.”
