
NASA’s Artemis II mission, which is carrying four crew members, Victor Glover, Jeremy Hansen, Reid Wiseman and Christina Koch has been dominating the headlines for a long time. For the unversed, the mission was launched on April 1, 2026, with the aim to travel to the far side of the Moon and back. Will NASA launch the Artemis III mission?
According to the official page of NASA, Artemis III mission has already been scheduled for sometime in 2027. While much details about the mission and the crew have not been revealed; however, reports suggest that it will aim at humans travelling to the moon. Reportedly, it will serve as a crucial test mission in low Earth orbit. The main goal will be to test all the systems that will be needed in future Moon landing. A 2023 report by NASA also claims that they will send humans to explore the region near the lunar South Pole through Artemis III.
