DJ Ganesh, who has performed at high-profile events for celebrities like Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Salman Khan, and Karan Johar, and was also part of Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’s launch, recently opened up about a memorable experience from his journey involving Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Recalling the moment SRK signed his laptop, DJ Ganesh shared, “My instant reaction was honestly, ‘Wow, what just happened?’ I was right there, watching SRK sir sign it in front of me at his study table. It felt completely surreal. It’s a moment I will never forget in my life.”
He further spoke about how the moment came about and why it meant so much to him. “It was truly a very special moment for me. I had performed for them a couple of times before, and for a long time, I had wanted to take a picture with SRK sir. However, I felt that an autograph would be something more personal and meaningful. That day, I politely asked him, and he very kindly agreed without any hesitation. He was extremely warm and gracious. When he handed it back to me, I felt incredibly grateful and blessed. Later, when I shared this moment with my family, they were extremely happy and proud, which made it even more special for me.”
Talking about his experience of working with both SRK and his son, Aryan Khan, DJ Ganesh highlighted the contrast in their musical preferences.
He continued, “SRK sir’s taste in music is very versatile. He enjoys a wide range from classic Bollywood to current tracks and, of course, his own iconic songs. He has a unique ability to connect with all generations through music. Aryan, on the other hand, has a more contemporary taste. He leans towards current global sounds, along with some ’90s and early 2000s tracks. Overall, with the Khans, it’s always a great mix of nostalgia and modern energy.”
The signed laptop, he revealed, has now become one of his most treasured possessions. He said, “That laptop is no longer just a device for me, it’s a memory I will cherish forever. I actually bought a new laptop after that and kept the signed one safely at home. Every time I look at it, it reminds me of that special moment and how far I’ve come.”
He also shared a personal moment that has stayed with him beyond the autograph. He concluded, “One thing that truly stayed with me was when SRK sir said, ‘I know DJ Ganesh, I’ve heard your name a few times.’ For me, that was one of the biggest compliments I have ever received and coming from him, it meant everything. It’s something I will always carry with me.”
For DJ Ganesh, this experience wasn’t just about meeting a superstar; it was about recognition, gratitude, and a milestone that continues to inspire him in his journey.
