Christina Applegate was officially diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in June 2021. She announced the diagnosis publicly on social media on August 10, 2021. At the time of her diagnosis, she was 49 years old and in the middle of filming the final season of the Netflix series, Dead to Me. While she got diagnosed with the disease in 2021, the actress shared that she likely had the disease for six or seven years before. She admitted to initially ignoring early symptoms, such as leg buckling and tingling in her toes.
