Ranbir Kapoor celebrated a major milestone yesterday as he featured in an international magazine’s list of the world’s most influential people in 2026. This prestigious recognition has sparked a wave of appreciation from his family and colleagues, including Alia Bhatt, Soni Razdan, and Neetu Kapoor. Among the most notable posts was a heartfelt message from Namit Malhotra, the producer of Ramayana.
Namit Malhotra took to Instagram to share his pride, posting a picture featuring himself alongside Ranbir Kapoor and director Nitesh Tiwari during their recent visit to the USA. In his post, the producer mentioned that Ranbir’s inclusion in the list of the most influential individuals of 2026 is absolutely well-deserved. He expressed his joy at seeing the actor receive global acknowledgment, stating, “It’s great to see the world finally take notice of you and your talent. This is just the beginning, my friend. More power to you.”
Namit’s praise went beyond the recent accolade, as he touched upon their long-standing personal and professional connection. He talked about their family history, mentioning how their fathers shared meals and laughter four decades ago. Now, the duo is collaborating to bring one of the greatest epics to the silver screen.
He was quite vocal about Ranbir’s suitability for his upcoming role and wrote, “There was never a doubt in my mind. There is no one better to portray Lord Rama. You are, without doubt, the finest actor of our generation.”
He further praised Ranbir’s character, saying, “I have witnessed your journey closely. The highs, the setbacks, the quiet resilience, and the way you’ve stayed so grounded through it all, both on and off screen.”
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The film is scheduled for a global theatrical release during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part during Diwali 2027.
