The makers of the upcoming movie Krishnavataram have unveiled the film’s first track, titled Prem Ki Leela. After a trailer launch that took place at the Krishna Janmabhoomi, the release of this song marks the next phase in the film’s musical and narrative journey.
Prem Ki Leela is designed to offer a glimpse into the emotional depth of the film, exploring the multifaceted nature of divine love. Rather than portraying love as a singular emotion, the song highlights the layered relationships Krishna shares with Radha, Satyabhama, and Rukmini. The track aims to capture a spectrum of connection, blending elements of devotion, strength, longing, and individuality.
The musical composition is helmed by Prasad Shashte, with the Thumri composed by Swaradhish Dr. Bharat Balvalli. The lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil, featuring a vocal lineup of Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali, and Suvarna Tiwari. Together, the team has crafted a track that moves beyond conventional portrayals, focusing on an experience that is both intimate and expansive.
An important aspect of this narrative is the perspective of Satyabhama. Her lens adds a layer of complexity to the storytelling, where love is intertwined with identity and pride. This approach provides a fresh take on a story rooted in historical richness, ensuring that each character’s emotional journey contributes to the broader narrative.
Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Krishnavataram is produced by Sajan Raj Kurup and Shobha Sant of Creativeland Studios Entertainment, alongside Poonam Shroff and Parth Gajjar of Athasrikatha Motion Pictures. The film is the first chapter of a three-part franchise.
The music has been released on Saregama, with global distribution handled by AA Films. Krishnavataram is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on May 7, 2026. As the first song of the movie, Prem Ki Leela sets the tone for the film’s expansive and layered emotional landscape.
