Last year, Deepika had officially confirmed her reunion with Shah Rukh for King by sharing a picture where she is seen holding his hand. Along with it, she wrote a heartfelt note recalling what she learned from him nearly 18 years ago during Om Shanti Om. She spoke about how the experience of making a film and the people you work with matter more than its box office outcome, a lesson she has carried with her through every project since then, which also explains their continued collaborations.
King marks their sixth film together after Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, Pathaan and Jawan. Over the years, their on-screen pairing has consistently delivered some of Bollywood’s biggest commercial successes, making this reunion even more anticipated among audiences.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures. The film also features Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles.
