While fans and the public expressed joy at his victory, surprisingly, Vijay had an emotional, low-key celebration alongside his family. The CM-designate instead chose a private moment and spent time with his parents and close relatives instead of a public spectacle.
Vijay who won from both the Perambur and Trichy East constituencies, went to his parents’ home in Chennai (after the results were officially declared). He took his father’s blessings, and later was surrounded by his family members, relatives and kids. The photos and videos from the celebration surfaced on social media, showing Vijay dressed in a simple white shirt paired with off-white pants. Many fans describe that over the years the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief built his character on ‘less by flair and more by persistence.’
