Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi will be distributed internationally by Hombale Films, the banner behind blockbuster franchises like KGF and Kantara. The Karnataka-based production and distribution house made the announcement today, three weeks ahead of the film’s theatrical release on June 4. Interestingly, Peddi marks Hombale Films’ first international distribution venture. The collaboration is reportedly driven by Ram Charan’s pan-Indian stardom, the backing of Mythri Movie Makers, and the involvement of Sukumar Writings as presenter.

A series of promotional events
The makers have lined up an extensive promotional campaign for the film. On May 18, the trailer of Peddi will be launched at a grand event in Mumbai, setting the tone for the film’s promotions. This will be followed by a large-scale musical event in Bhopal on May 23, where AR Rahman is expected to perform live. The event is anticipated to be one of the biggest promotional highlights for the film.
Several promotional events across major cities are also being planned. A public event at Hyderabad’s Uppal Stadium is reportedly on the cards. Additional events are expected to take place in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Chennai to promote the Kannada, Hindi, and Tamil versions of the film. The team is also planning an event in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh, followed by a grand pre-release event in Hyderabad. The makers are clearly mounting an aggressive promotional campaign to maximize hype ahead of release.

The mysterious third element
The Buchi Babu Sana directorial reportedly contains a hidden third narrative element that has not yet been revealed. So far, the makers have highlighted cricket and wrestling as the film’s two primary backdrops. Whether the trailer unveils the mystery element remains to be seen.
Co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, Shivarajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma, Peddi is set against the backdrop of the 1970s and 1980s. While positioned as a commercial entertainer, the makers have hinted that the pre-climax and climax portions will carry strong emotional weight. A grand worldwide release is being planned, with special night premieres scheduled for June 3.
