Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has indeed been one of the most successful films in the history of Bollywood. Breaking multiple box-office records, Dhurandhar: The Revenge became a blockbuster with the franchise grossing over Re 3,000 crores worldwide. Featuring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, and Sanjay Dutt in key roles, Dhurandhar’s immense success has compelled people back to cinema halls, even in the era of OTT.
In a recent, exclusive interview with Filmfare, Danish Pandor, best known for playing Pakistani gangster Uzair Baloch in the spy-thriller Dhurandhar and its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge, opened up about his experience while working in both films. He also shared his experience while working alongside his co-stars Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna in the film.
Danish Pandor highly praised both the actors Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, calling them extremely confident and secure actors. Speaking about them, he said, “Both Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna are confident and selfless actors. They view the scene completely and allow other actors to shine as well.”
He further stated that he had shared ninety percent of his scenes with Ranveer Singh. And, working alongside Ranveer made him realize the stature he holds, calling him an extremely talented artist. He also revealed that Singh has a great vibe to himself, which naturally allows any actor to work very conveniently beside him.
He then goes on to praise the actor further, saying that Ranveer Singh brings this positive energy to the floor that automatically adds charm to a particular scene in the film, which is what happened with Dhurandhar. Danish Pandor also opened up about the importance of having a good co-star, which is extremely necessary for a film to work in its entirety. Here, Danish brought up the reference to Ranveer Singh once more, saying that he got lucky to have the opportunity to work as his co-star.
Danish Pandor further revealed that he felt the real success of Dhurandhar is because of the director Aditya Dhar’s exceptional vision and storytelling. Danish also reflected back on his journey of becoming an actor, saying that he had to struggle for almost fifteen years to become an actor. He also opened up about how many people from the industry had told him to give up on his dream and choose another profession. However, his strong perseverance kept him at it as he continues honing his craft.
