During a promotional interview, Urvashi unintentionally sparked outrage by flaunting her expensive gifts while commenting on the incident, which many perceived as tone-deaf.

Urvashi, who is currently basking in the success of her latest Telugu film, Daaku Maharaj, recently sat for an interview with ANI to promote the film. Upon being asked to share her thoughts on the brutal attack on Saif Ali Khan, the actress quoted it as an ‘unfortunate incident’ and her focus shifted to her recent film’s success, which did not sit well with netizens. Urvashi was heard saying:
“It is very unfortunate. Daaku Maharaj ke Rs. 105 crore ke success ke baad, my mother… unhone ne mujhe gift ki diamond-studded Rolex and my father ne mujhe ye choti si mini-watch gift kari. Abhi humne 105 paar kar diya hai toh it’s just a gift, but then hum confident nahi feel karenge bahar openly. We cannot wear kuch bhi. Ek insecurity ho jati hai ki anybody can attack us toh woh bohot zyada unfortunate hai.”
