
Saif Ali Khan is recovering at Bandra’s Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after a violent attack that took place on him at his Bandra home on January 16, 2024. The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital in a rickshaw and had to undergo surgery because of the multiple stab wounds. The doctors have confirmed that he is out of danger. Amid this, a picture of Saif’s health insurance claim has gone viral, and there has been a breach of privacy.

A report by the Mint claimed that Saif had been a policyholder of Niva Bupa Health Insurance. The leaked document showed that 54-year-old Saif, who was admitted in one of the suite rooms of Lilavati Hospital, requested to claim Rs. 35.95 lakh for his treatment, with Rs. 25 lakh being approved. The other sensitive details included his member ID, which reportedly was 2923938. The expected date of discharge mentioned was January 21, 2024. Niva Bupa Health Insurance officially told the publication:
“Mr. Khan is one of our policy holders. A cashless pre-authorisation request was sent to us upon his hospitalisation and we have given an approval of an initial amount to start the treatment. Once we receive the final bills post the complete treatment, it will be settled as per policy terms and conditions.”
