Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar, starring Bobby Deol, is finally in theatres, and the film has created quite the buzz. Ahead of the release, Bobby Deol’s sister, actress Esha Deol, had attended a special screening of the film and heaped praise on her ‘Bhaiya’. She also urged everyone to watch the film on the big screen.
Taking to her social media, Esha Deol shared a picture from the screening and wrote, “@IAMBOBBYDEOL YOU ARE IN THE BEST FORM EVER! UNDOUBTEDLY THE FINEST ACTOR TODAY. ENDURING & VULNERABLE! WAY TO GO BHAIYA”
Urging everyone to watch the film, she added, “GO WATCH BANDAR”
Bandar is written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, the acclaimed duo behind Paatal Lok, Kohrra and Udta Punjab. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi’s Saffron Magicworks and backed by Zee Studios, Bandar released in cinemas worldwide on June 5, 2026.

Filmfare’s Review of Bandar
Filmfare’s reviewer gave Bandar 4 out of 5 stars and wrote, “Bandar is messy, overstuffed and occasionally frustrating. Yet it is also fearless, thought-provoking and fiercely acted. In an era increasingly dominated by safe storytelling and formulaic entertainment, director Anurag Kashyap deserves enormous credit for making a film that embraces discomfort and uncertainty. It may not fully succeed in balancing all the issues it raises, but its ambition, grit and refusal to simplify complex realities make it one of the most significant Hindi films in recent memory. More importantly, it is the kind of film that demands discussion rather than passive consumption, and that alone makes it worth watching.”
