The makers of Lagaan recently celebrated the film’s 25th anniversary in Mumbai with a star-studded event attended by several prominent names from the film industry. The evening also witnessed reunions between some of Bollywood’s most beloved stars, including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kajol, Juhi Chawla and others.
One of the highlights of the event was a light-hearted exchange between Kajol, Juhi Chawla and Aamir Khan. The trio, who previously worked together in Ishq, shared a nostalgic moment on stage. When invited to speak about Aamir, Kajol jokingly said, “One thing we can say about Aamir Khan is that his production has definitely proved he has great taste in movies, irrevocably good taste. Starting with Lagaan and continuing forward — and great taste in women as well.”
The comment left Aamir blushing, while Juhi added, “I don’t have just one word but a lot more for Aamir. If I start, I can take over the evening.”
The playful banter between them sparked nostalgia among fans. Another major talking point of the evening was the reunion of Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, which reminded many of their iconic Andaz Apna Apna days.
The two stars happily posed together for photographers, much to the delight of fans.
Salman also grabbed attention for his striking new look. He arrived in an all-black ensemble featuring a leather jacket, vest and distressed jeans. His completely shaved head became one of the most-discussed aspects of the evening.
Several other celebrities were also present at the celebration, including Rekha, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Gracy Singh, Mukesh Chhabra, Shilpa Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Prateik Smita Patil, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi, Ramesh Taurani, Nitanshi Goel and many more.
