World-renowned K-pop group BTS recently celebrated their 13th anniversary, making it an emotional occasion not only for the members but also for their fanbase, ARMY. The seven-member group, comprising RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, are currently on their Arirang world tour.
The anniversary celebrations coincided with the group’s concert in Busan, where an emotional RM was seen tearing up on stage. Addressing the crowd, he said, “June 13, our 13th birthday as a team… this day won’t return ever again.”
Busan holds special significance for BTS and their fans. It is the hometown of Jimin and Jungkook and was also the venue for the group’s memorable Yet To Come concert in 2022, held before the members began their mandatory military service.
The concert opened with performances from their latest album, Arirang. The setlist featured songs such as Hooligan and Aliens, followed by fan-favourites including Run BTS and several of the group’s iconic hits.
Speaking to the audience, V shared, “Busan holds so many good memories for me.” Jimin added, “I’m so happy to be in my hometown, on such a meaningful day, singing and dancing with all of you. Let’s have fun tonight.”
Following the concert, Jin took to social media to thank fans for their unwavering support. He shared two photos, one featuring a “
Happy Birthday BTS” display and another showing him blowing a flying kiss to fans during the concert.
In Korean, he wrote, “Thank you for the birthday wishes. Our ARMY is the best. Let’s stay together from now on too. A thankful hand kiss.”
BTS debuted on June 13, 2013, under Big Hit Music and has since grown into one of the most influential music acts in the world. Known for breaking language barriers and reshaping the global perception of K-pop, the group has achieved numerous milestones, including topping international charts, selling out stadiums worldwide and earning multiple Grammy nominations.
