Harry Collett reacts to the death of his character ‘Jacaerys Velaryon’ in House of the Dragons Season 3
In a candid conversation with Esquire, Harry Collett has reflected on the end of his run with House of the Dragons. The actor had been part of the show for two whole seasons. During the interaction, the interviewer asked Harry how he felt about the ending of his role. The actor revealed that he had known that this was going to happen since Season 1, and to him, it was the perfect end for ‘Jace’. He was quoted as saying:
“There’s no way Jace couldn’t have died. He had to for the future of the realm. It changes Rhaenyra’s mindset, so it’s all a great sacrifice. Some people say to me, ‘I’m so sorry they killed you off’, and I’m like, ‘I haven’t been fired! I knew this was going to happen in Season 1’. It’s been an absolute joy and I’ve met friends for life on here. I feel like there’s no better way to go out than season 3, episode 1. For me, that was the perfect death.”
