Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are set to share the screen once again in their upcoming film titled Haiwaan. The upcoming project, directed by Priyadarshan, has officially locked in its theatrical release date for September 11. The news was confirmed by KVN Productions via their official Instagram handle. The production house shared a poster to mark the announcement, featuring a message for the audience, “In Cinemas 11th September 2026. 60 Blockbusters. One master storyteller, film by Priyadarshan, Haiwaan.”
Described as an edge-of-the-seat thriller, the movie marks a special reunion for Akshay and Saif, two stars who have previously captivated audiences with their on-screen chemistry. Apart from the two leads, Haiwaan boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher.
The film is a collaborative production between KVN Productions and Thespian Films, with Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn serving as producers.
This project continues the long-standing collaboration between Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan. The duo recently teamed up for the horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla, which also featured a massive ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Asrani. Bhoot Bangla has performed impressively at the box office, currently ranking as the fifth highest-grossing Indian film of 2026, as well as the third highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
As fans look forward to Haiwaan, both actors remain busy with other major professional commitments. Akshay Kumar was recently seen in Ahmed Khan’s comedy Welcome To The Jungle, a film that also features a star-studded cast. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan was recently seen in the film Kartavya, directed by Pulkit, where he shared the screen with Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra, and Zakir Hussain. That film explores the story of a police officer navigating the difficult balance between his professional duty and protecting his family.
