Pritam and Pedro was released on JioHotstar on July 3, 2026. The series marks the debut of Vir Hirani in the titular role of ‘Pritam’ alongside Arshad Warsi, who essays the role of ‘Pedro’. So, as viewers rush to watch the show, let’s see if it is worth your time this weekend.
An anti-tech cop meets a computer genius in a light-hearted crime saga
Pritam and Pedro begins with four people dressed in hijabs looting an ATM in a ridiculous and funny robbery in the middle of the night. However, things begin to move the next morning when ‘Pritam’ walks into the police station with his grandfather to report a stolen radio, only to be ignored by the police. Nonetheless, when he pushes harder, the cop locks him up, introducing the audience and our lead to ‘Pedro’, a crime branch officer who has arrived at the same station about the ATM theft.
‘Pritam’ soon strikes a deal with ‘Pedro’ to find the stolen ATM within 15 minutes, in exchange for being let out so he can return to his grandfather. And surprisingly, he finds it in 10 minutes. However, ‘Pedro’ is the kind of cop who has always done things his own way and doesn’t really trust technology, and frankly doesn’t want to. When he lands in the cyber cell as a punishment posting after an investigation goes wrong, he’s completely out of his depth.
