The comedy TV series, Trying, has returned with a bang. Yes, you read it right. Two years after Trying Season 4, the franchise is returning with Season 5. According to reports, Trying Season 5 is all set to premiere on July 8, 2026, on Apple TV+. Fan favourite couple, ‘Nikki’ (played by Esther Smith) and ‘Jason’ (played by Rafe Spall), are returning with the new season. The new season will consist of eight episodes and will drop weekly every Wednesday.

Before Season 5 premieres, here’s what you need to know about Trying Season 4. Season 4 jumps ahead by six years. ‘Nikki’ and ‘Jason’ are no longer trying to adopt children. They are currently focusing on raising the two teenagers, ‘Princess’ and ‘Tyler’. Season 4 follows the everyday challenges of parenting older kids. ‘Princess’ wants to meet her biological mom, ‘Kat’. She is a bit curious about her past and where she came from and more. However, she didn’t tell ‘Nikki’ about the following at first and instead asks her aunt, ‘Karen’, for help.
