Ajith Kumar is back on the big screen after a two-year break with Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film, which is a Tamil adaptation of the 1997 American movie Breakdown, hit theatres on February 6. Early audiences who caught the first shows took to X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts.
This is Ajith’s first film since Thunivu in 2023. In Vidaamuyarchi, he plays Arjun, a former cop living in Azerbaijan with his wife, Kayal. While their relationship is going through some rough patches, they’re trying to hold things together. But everything changes when Kayal is kidnapped by a gang, and Arjun has a face off against them. The film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, and Regena Cassandra.
