
Elvish Yadav has once again stirred controversy after his insensitive remarks about Bigg Boss 18 contestant, Chum Darang went viral. The YouTuber, in a chat with Rajat Dalal, was accused of making racist comments during a podcast. While netizens have slammed him, Chum’s co-contestant and rumored boyfriend, Karan Veer Mehra, has now spoken up in his defence.
Karan Veer Mehra defends Elvish Yadav, says his words were ‘misunderstood’
Bigg Boss 18 winner, Karan Veer Mehra was spotted at a recent event, where he addressed the ongoing controversy around Elvish Yadav and Chum Darang. Talking about the matter, Karan urged everyone to not take Elvish’s comments at face value. He even called the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner a ‘fun-loving young lad’, hinting that his remarks were light-hearted that were blown out of proportion. Karan remarked:
“Kuch na kuch log bolte rehte hain, unka ghar chal raha hai, chalne do. Usko samajhna chahiye ki media ne hi banaya hai sab, zyada udna nahi chahiye hawa mein. Zameen pe zyada maza aata, thora young ladka hai, I am sure seekh jayega thoda dhakke lagenge to. He is not a bad guy. Uska shayad tone waisa hai, lahza waisa hai, isliye shayad aisa samjha ja raha hai. Par ladhka accha hai yaar, mazedaar hai, bahut maza aaya uske saath kaam karke, I am sure misconstrued ho raha hai kahin pe. Sorry bhi bola hai, maine videos dekhe hai kuch. Woh bol raha hai ki uska matlab nahi tha. kabhi-kabhi chhod do.”
