Piracy has always been a headache for the Indian film industry, and sadly, Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, has also fallen victim. On the very day it hit theaters, a high-quality version was leaked online, and shockingly, a local cable channel aired it later.
Producer Bunny Vas didn’t hold back while addressing the issue. He pointed out how people involved in Geetha Govindam’s (2018) piracy are still behind bars. “Some are still in jail, and we won’t spare those who pirated or watched the pirated version of Thandel,” he warned.
Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film tells the heartfelt love story of a fisherman, Raju, and a village girl, Sathya. Chay and Sai Pallavi’s performances, along with DSP’s catchy music, have been a hit with audiences.
