Gitanjali, the wife of climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, has accused Safdarjung Hospital of providing her with misleading medical information regarding Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike. Delhi HC declines Gitanjali Wangchuk’s plea for shifting Sonam Wangchuk to a private hospital
The Delhi High Court declined to pass an interim order regarding Sonam Wangchuk being shifted from Safdarjung Hospital to a private hospital. The court observed that such a direction could not be passed at this stage. Justice Mini Pushkarna noted that the court had to consider the larger picture when Gitanjali filed a plea. The judge noted:
“Every life is precious. Considering this, no interim order is required to be passed at this stage.”
